Why Authenticity is the Key to Success with Max Amini

"The strongest force in the universe is a human being living consistently with his identity." - Tony Robbins

No matter who we are, where we live, or what opportunities are presented to us, the majority of us find it difficult to feel truly successful in life. Success can feel elusive, ambiguous, and fleeting. However, I think that it is in the elusiveness of succeeding that we can find its true meaning.

Achieving success can feel painfully difficult when we are trying to achieve someone else's version of it. You can hit every milestone along the way, but if you're traveling on someone else's path, you will never feel like you've reached the right destination - the destination that makes you feel truly fulfilled and successful.

So, what's the solution? Authenticity. Staying true to who you are, what you value, and why.

Today’s Guest: Max Amini

If anyone knows the value of authenticity, it's my guest on today’s episode of NextPlay, Max Amini. Max is an edgy Iranian-American stand-up comedian who uses his comedic talents to push the envelope on socially relevant and controversial topics. His talent for storytelling has helped him shift perspectives and preconceived notions about cultural stereotypes among his audiences.

Max's list of achievements is impressive, but he hasn't gotten this far without his fair share of criticism, pushback, and disapproval. In today's interview, I ask Max about how he deals with the hate and harsh critique and still manages to find success on stage and maintain his undeniably positive energy and sense of humor.

His answer is simple: Discover who you are and be authentic.
